These General Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern the contractual relationship between Liquid Gold Oils SRL ("we", "us", "our") and any consumer ("you", "the customer") who orders premium cold-pressed oils through our online shop at https://liquid-gold.eu. By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms.

1. Scope of Application

These Terms apply exclusively to all contracts concluded between Liquid Gold Oils SRL and consumers within the meaning of EU consumer-protection law — i.e. natural persons acting for purposes that fall outside their trade, business or profession. Deviating terms and conditions of the customer do not apply unless we expressly agree to them in writing.

2. Contract Conclusion

The presentation of products in our online shop is not a binding offer; it is an invitation to you to place an order. By clicking the "Proceed to Checkout" button and confirming your order you make a binding offer to purchase the items in your shopping cart. We confirm receipt of your order automatically by email; this confirmation does not yet constitute acceptance.

A binding contract is concluded when we either ship the goods to you and notify you of the dispatch, or explicitly accept your order in a separate email — whichever happens first. The order is processed in German, English or Romanian depending on your selected language.

3. Prices & Payment

All prices shown in the shop are final prices in Euro (€) including the statutory Romanian VAT. Shipping costs are added at checkout and shown clearly before you confirm the order.

We accept the following payment methods:

• Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via our payment provider Stripe.
• SEPA bank transfer.
• Other methods may be offered at checkout from time to time.

Card payments are charged immediately upon order; for bank transfers we ship the goods after the payment has cleared in our account.

4. Delivery & Shipping

We deliver to all member states of the European Union as well as to selected third countries. Delivery times are stated on the product page and start when the payment process is completed. Typical dispatch from our workshop in Măneuți takes 1–3 business days; transit time within the EU is usually 3–7 business days.

Shipping costs are calculated per destination and total order weight; the exact amount is shown in the cart before you confirm the purchase. Free shipping inside the EU may apply for orders above a stated threshold.

If you spot any external damage to the parcel upon receipt, please document it (photo, courier acknowledgement) and report it to us within seven days. Hidden damage discovered after unpacking should also be reported as quickly as possible — this helps us process insurance claims with the carrier.

5. Right of Withdrawal

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason, in line with the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you (or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you) acquire physical possession of the goods. To exercise the right of withdrawal, send us a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email) before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal: We will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, no later than 14 days after we receive your statement. We use the same payment method you used for the original transaction unless we agree otherwise. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof of return.

Important: The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons and that have been unsealed after delivery, or to products that are clearly personalised for you. Returned oils must therefore be unopened and in their original sealed packaging.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Please pack the items carefully — we are not liable for any loss of value caused by improper return packaging.

6. Retention of Title

The delivered goods remain our property until full payment of the purchase price including any shipping costs has been received.

7. Warranty for Defects

Statutory warranty rights apply. If a delivered product is defective, you may, at your choice, request repair or replacement. If neither is possible or both fail, you may reduce the purchase price or withdraw from the contract.

Our oils are natural products: small variations in colour, density, taste or sediment are characteristic of cold-pressed oils and are not considered defects. Please store the oils as recommended on the label and consume them within the indicated best-before date.

Claims based on defects expire two years after delivery of the goods.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, body or health caused by us, our legal representatives or our agents, as well as for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and under the Product Liability Act.

For damages caused by simple negligence, our liability is limited to a breach of essential contractual obligations (so-called cardinal obligations) and to the foreseeable damages typical for the type of contract.

Apart from that, our liability for slight negligence is excluded.

9. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Romanian data-protection law. Details on which data we collect, why we process it, who has access to it and what your rights are can be found in our Privacy Policy.

10. Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform that you can find here: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

11. Final Provisions

These Terms and the contractual relationship between you and Liquid Gold Oils SRL are governed by Romanian law, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.

Should any provision of these Terms be or become invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the economic intent of the invalid one.
